Castaic Boy Left on Bus

During the week of June 28, 2006 a bus driver for the Castaic Union Schools, parked her bus in the district yard and left for the day. This all seems normal … but she left without doing her required end-of-day check of the bus. OOPS!
The student, a 4 year old pre-schooler was on one of the distrct’s small special education bus’s stayed on the bus for approximatly one hour before he opened the door and was found by another bus driver. The Signal Newspaper reported the boy was hot and shook up (Ya Think!?) The driver upon learning about her mistake was upset, and this being her first enfraction, immediate disciplinary action was taken against the driver, who is still with the district.
The Parents of the boy were also “upset” states the Signal Newspaper.
