Castaic May Get Library
May 18, 2007 |
Some good news for Castaic, County planners are looking at several possible sites for a new Library in Castaic.
This is great news as Castaic residents currently must travel into Valencia to use the Library there.
From the Signal Friday May 18, 2007;
Chief Deputy County Librarian Terri Maguire said that the county has been planning to construct a library in that area in anticipation of future growth.
“We realize that that is a developing area, and it will eventually need permanent library service,” she said. “It’s all in long-range discussions at this point. There’s nothing that has really been decided at all.”
Currently, residents on the west side use the Valencia Library as well as services provided by the county’s bookmobile.
