Las Lomas developer Dan Palmer in the news again this week. In a story that first appeared in The Signal, it was uncovered that Dan Palmer Land Investments did not have a legal right to the 555 acres he plans to develop into a mini metropolis. The story unfolded where Palmer Land Devcelopment did not have full legal ownership of some of the 14 parcels of land that make up the planned Las Lomas project. Turns out 4 other parcel owners were involved and one of them a older gentleman that owns about 251 acres of the land never sold to Palmer. Other parcels owners have been found and 2 of them had in fact sold to Palmer.

Truth is stranger than fiction folks! Seems Dan Palmer has done much of the permit process and filed county and city documents with intent to build on land that he doesn’t have ownership of. Palmer has been attempting to build a mini city and has been met with oppostion from the City of Santa Clarita, when the Santa Clarita gave him the heave-ho he took his files to The City of Los Angeles as this parcel is in a tri - jurisdiction area, local, County and City.
