Goodbye 2006

I have been away from blogging for a while now. Lots been going on! We welcomed our grandson, Trey Christopher Knight to the world on November 3rd, 2006. He is awesome! Being a grandmother is so wonderful. My daughter is a great Mom and her hubby Chris is mighty fabulous too!

Thanksgiving was hosted by our family this year and while I was buried in pots and pans and cooking for most of the day … it was really nice. I’ve decided that I love Thanksgiving! its one of the few holidays we have that does not involve gift giving! Just come, enjoy, eat and drink!

Our family celebrated a joyful Christmas, we saw extended family and the highlight was Trey our grandson.

Seems every year I want to take the tree down early, sometimes even the day after Christmas this year I left the tree and decorations up until New Years, which was kind of nice.

New Years is also a favorite holiday of mine, fresh start, clean slate, new beginnings and best of all a new day planner  :) which soon becomes organized chaos in a leather binder.

All in all 2006 was a very special year and now even though its already March 1st, I am looking forward to 2007.
