July 4th Celebrations

Fourth of July Activities
7 a.m. - SCV Rotary Club Pancake Breakfast ($4) in the Roger Dunn Golf parking lot, San Fernando Road at 5th, Newhall.

9:45 a.m. - Annual Santa Clarita Fourth of July Parade will begin on San Fernando Road in Old Town Newhall.

2 p.m. - Old-fashioned Fourth of July barbecue and live band. The Greens is hosting a traditional BBQ of tri-tip, chicken, baked beans, corn on the cob, and watermelon. Live music. Serving from 2 p.m.- 8 p.m. Adults, $14.95; Kids, $8.95 Reservations Required. Phone 222-2900

9:20 p.m. - Fireworks display, “America Journey from American Dream,” will be shown over the Westfield Valencia Town Center. The show will last about 30 minutes. Free.

9:45 p.m. - Music and dancing at The Greens until 2 a.m. (Menu items available until midnight.)

5 p.m.-9 p.m. - Whole Foods Dinner & Fireworks. Santa Clarita families are invited to enjoy a July Fourth meal, with a primo view of the annual fireworks show from the Town Center Mall in Whole Foods Market parking lot. Dinner, drinks and treats for $6.

Stevenson Ranch activities
4:30 p.m. - Stevenson Ranch Civic Committee in Association with L.A. County Parks & Recreation offer fun family activities. This entire event is free. Richard H. Rioux Memorial Park. Please note that alcohol is not permitted in county parks.
6 p.m. Music (recorded) begins.

7:30 p.m. - Activities include the color guard, national anthem, and guest speakers at Richard H. Rioux Memorial Park.

9:05 p.m. - Annual Stevenson Ranch Fireworks Spectacular at Richard H. Rioux Memorial Park, Stevenson Ranch. Over 600 aerial displays lasting 20-25 minutes.
(Please note that there is a possibility that the Stevenson Ranch show could be canceled at the last minute due to a number of factors. Please check the West Ranch Beacon for updates.)

Castaic Lake activities:
All Day. Castaic Lake Recreation Area $25 per car, $5 per person walk in (5 & under are free), $50 per car VIP parking & admission (Presale only, very limited)

5:45 a.m. - 2 p.m. - Park is open for swimming and picnicking

2 - 7 p.m. - Children’s rides, games, water slides, jumpers, rock climbing, food booths, and family games. A DJ and vocalists will provide musical entertainment beginning at 5 p.m.

Six Flags Magic Mountain activities
10 a.m. - Six Flags Magic Mountain, fireworks display included in cost of admission to park.
9:35 - 9:50 p.m. - Fireworks Display (Best viewed from Six Flags Plaza)
10 p.m. - The park closes.
