Lazy Days in the Garden

Summer is here and the best thing to do in the garden is, take a break! its hot and if you’ve done your spring chores, hopefully you wont have to be out in the heat. Some things to keep in mind for your garden.

  • Water. Make sure all your roses and foundation plants are getting enough.
  • Weeds. Using a good mulch will cut down on weeds and it also conserves water.
  • Fertilizer. Apply fertilizer in the evening when its cooler alsoi make sure you give your plants a drink after as fertilizer will burn if not watered into the soil.
  • Check your potted patio plants also, potted plants require more water than plants growing in the ground. You may want to consider using a small water spritzer line that assures the plants are getting a good supply of water.
