Los Angeles City Opposes Newhall Ranch

Los Angeles City District 7 Council member Richard Alarcon opposes Newhall Ranch but endorsed Las Lomas? somethings wrong here, what side of the development fence is Alarcon on?
News came out this week that Los Angeles City Council members voted unanimously on a motion, headed up by Alarcon against the planned Newhall Land and Farming Co. development in the Santa Clarita Valley northwest of Stevenson Ranch, and against the first phase of that plan - the development of Landmark Village.
Keep in mind, this proposed project has been on the Los Angeles County books for 10 years, going through the process of land use hearings, environmental impact studies, traffic, noise, et all.,

21,000 homes are planned for the area which lies West of Santa Clarita, South of Castaic straight through highway 126 to Fillmore and Piru.
I will be keeping my eye on this one for sure. More to come … no doubt.
