Trash Recycling Going To Waste

This is one for the oops file, (I’m behind on posting) back in January that hit our local paper “The Signal” Castaic residents on Meadow Grass Drive had spotted an employee from the local trash disposal company picking up all recycleables and dumping them in the regular trash truck. OOPS!!!!
This tale came to light when a resident on the street observed the company employees picking up all 3 types of refuse at once in the same truck, 3 cans in all, one for greens one for paper/glass/plastic and the third for general household refuse they were all put in the same trash truck.
Well you can imagine that after this particular homeowner was thinking she was doing her part to save the planet along comes this guy and combines all her sorted trash and dumps them into the same place. Homeowner states she saw them doing it on at least 3 separate occasions.
The company spokesperson says the matter is being “investigated” {This story appeard back on January 28th 2006 and as yet no followups have been printed} I’m betting the company just wants the whole problem to go away!
