School Vandalized
West Ranch High School reported vandalism at the School. Friday morning school administrators found the campus covered with graffiti, with obscene remarks plastered across the top of the administrative building and tagging on just about every structure and sidewalk.
Based on the taunts painted by the vandals, the perpetrators may have been students from rival school Golden Valley High School, West Ranch’s Friday night football opponent. Sheriff’s deputies and school administrators from both schools are investigating the vandalism.
The letters “GV” and grizzly paw prints were the most commonly seen scrawls, although some buildings were adorned with more lengthy remarks, including “GV f—s it up” painted in large, black letters above the words “West Ranch High School” on the administrative building at the entrance to the school.
“I can’t imagine who else it would be,” said West Ranch Principal Bob Vincent. The school was vandalized the night before the Golden Valley football game last year as well, he said. This time, the entire school may have to be re-painted. A damage estimate was not available Friday.
